ADOS Ruwais Service Center Wins Prestigious National Award
Abu Dhabi, UAE – March 20, 2019: The ADOS Ruwais Service Center has been selected as the National Winner for the UAE in the Small Projects category of this year’s 2019 MEED Projects Awards.
“We at ADOS are honored to accept this prestigious award from MEED for our Ruwais Service Center, a project that signifies our dedication to the UAE’s leadership’s ambitious plans for Ruwais. The center is the first of its kind in the UAE’s Western Region and further enhances our in-country manufacturing and servicing capabilities. I’d like to express my sincere thanks to the various teams at ADOS and its strong partners that worked hard to deliver this state-of-the-art facility to position us as market leaders,” said Jamal Musallam Maktoom, ADOS Chairman.
The ADOS Ruwais Service Center is a one stop shop for servicing both static and rotating equipment, with a fully- equipped Emerson Final Control Service Centre, a John Crane Mechanical Seal Refurbishment Centre, a general valve refurbishment, and a welding and machining facility. The Service Centre is also home to the ADOS Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Store, through which ADOS collaborates with surrounding operating companies to stock and supply Klinger gasket products along with Swagelok components and instrumentation fittings.
In addition, the Ruwais Service Center offers comprehensive joint integrity assurance solutions, an essential service for new projects and shutdown activities. From the Ruwais facility and along with its partner, Hydratight, ADOS combines bolting, torqueing, and machining services as well as flange data management to deliver leak free start- up and operations at the various clients’ sites.
“This year the judging panel reviewed a record number of entries from across the GCC, which affirms yet again the robust projects market in the region, amidst the challenging business landscape. Competition has been tough, and it’s great to see a strong commitment not just in completing projects, but also in meeting very stringent quality standards. Congratulations to all our national winners,” said Richard Thompson, Editorial Director, MEED.
ADOS Ruwais Service Center will now be reviewed against its Gulf rivals for the GCC honors to determine the final winners of the 2019 MEED Projects Awards, in association with Mashreq.
